The last three years of service for Avatar Partners include:
 
Development of the JMPS Interactive Multimedia Instruction program for the F/A-18 E/F and EA-18G platforms
 
Project Background: The PMA-265 FA-18 & EA-18G Program Manager has identified Mission Planning deficiencies with the current Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) Mission Planning process and products. Specifically, the JMPS mission planning time required to support production F/A-18 & EA-18G aircraft is excessive. A contributing factor to this deficiency is an identified knowledge gap of fleet users who find the JMPS difficult to operate. PMA-265 has identified and funded a requirement to improve JMPS usability through embedded computer based functionality that is readily accessible to the operator during mission planning event. The JMPS tool consists of multiple Interactive Multi-media Instructions (IMIs) which are an extension of the Interactive Electronic Tech Manual (IETM) help module developed for PMA-281. This effort is an extension of that development to further develop IETM based computer modules and includes engineering analysis, design, implementation and delivery of the automated JMPS IMI tool such that the FA-18 & EA-1G platforms can access on-demand whenever needed. A JMPS SCS IMI is required in order to bridge the Mission Planning Knowledge Gap.
 
 
  
Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) Framework Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM)    
 
Project Background: The Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) is a mission planning software product used by multiple Government Agencies including the US Navy, US Air Force, US Marine Corps and Foreign Military. API has supported JMPS since 2006. For this project, BAE Systems subcontracted API to design, architect and develop an Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) to improve JMPS Usability, thus enabling the warfighter to reduce mission planning time to plan and improve mission planning effectiveness.      
 
 
Common Control System (CCS) / Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Migration Study
 
Project Background: The Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) is a software program costing the federal government over $1B and includes over 3 million lines of code developed by various contractors in multiple software languages over the past 15 years, including C++, C, and Visual Basic. The program only supports the 32-bit operating system, causing performance and maintenance issues. As a subcontractor to AMEWAS, API participated in a Navy-Funded Prototype through the Aircraft Prototype Facility (APF) Joint Mission Planning System to analyze the transition and impact of migrating JMPS from 32-bit to 64-bit, as well as transition to the Common Control System (CCS) environment. API provided a study and prototype for this effort, successfully proving that the IETM is capable of a transition to the 64-bit and CCS environment that would be compatible to a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

Industry standard measures are interwoven throughout our management process in both performance as well as project planning. Our process is made up of rigorous methods used to improve performance as well as deliver the best product possible. There is a conscious effort towards this process being a complete and integrated effort, involving staff at multiple levels within the company. In particular, emphasis is placed on satisfying criteria including, but not limited to, cost, quality, and overall timetables. Avatar Partners methodically and continuously applies these procedures for each step and phase of any given project in order to deliver quality products. 
 
In regards to SeaPort-e, Avatar Partners QA procedures will help to ensure that the best quality product is produced. All tasks and assignments will be carefully reviewed and analyzed from start to final output. Review by peers within Avatar Partners will help to ensure any defects and improvements are quickly and efficiently identified. Defects that are found early on in the overall process contribute to ensuring the preservation of both timetables and quality.
 
Responsibility for program Quality Assurance falls upon the Program Manager, who oversees assignments and tasking. Additionally, any fine tuning or adjustments are implemented as needed. Ever vigilant, our QA team will also be aware of progress and metrics throughout the project timeline. In-progress reviews to ensure quality will also be strategically and thoroughly applied. Documentation for any discrepancies will be reported and sent to the Program Manager. Avatar Partners strives to maintain quality of all products as a company-wide initiative that is present from the early proposal stages to final delivery.
